It owes a lot to Robert Lerouvillois's magnificent book, "un temps clair comme cristal", published by the Archives Départementale de la Manche (2002). PLEASE NOTE: The diary is not yet in real-time. The volume that I am serializing began on the new year (March 25, 1553) and I got this bright idea in June. I'm going to be making several entries per day until I catch up with the present, and then I will go forward one day at a time. I will not attempt to correct for the Gregorian calendar change. | ||||
